We have an opportunity for a Registered Mental Health Practitioner to join the EIP Team.

There are 2 posts available, covering the South and East of the County

The Early Intervention in Psychosis Team is located within the Adult Community Mental Health Division and our mission is to provide high quality, evidence-based psychological services to adults who live in Lincolnshire and are experiencing severe and enduring mental health difficulties. The post will involve liaison with other professions within the mental health service, including Mental Health Nurses, Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapists, Assistant and Trainee Clinical Psychologists, Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioners, Support Workers, Peer Support Workers and outside agencies.

The post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination of care needs, assessment, planning, and implementation of evidence based care to a defined group of service users and their carers within the service catchment area whilst under the guidance of senior staff. The post holder will provide professional advice and support to other agencies and members of the multi-disciplinary team.

The post is community based providing a service which is delivered through a multidisciplinary team who provide comprehensive assessment, and intensive treatment and support for people aged 14-65 who are experiencing a First Episode Psychosis (FEP)

The team provides the service Monday-Friday between 9am-5pm. EIP is a county wide service and the post holder may be required on occasion to travel to other sites/locations in which to provide early intervention assessments and delivery of care.

In line with the national access and waiting times standard for EIP, the service has a maximum two week wait from referral to any part of the Trust and treatment is concordant with NICE guidelines and quality standards.The post-holder will be expected to manage a caseload and to work collaboratively alongside other teams and services who may also be involved in the care of EIP service users.

To provide a high standard of clinical care ensuring safe and effective assessment, treatment and comprehensive discharge planning using highly developed clinical reasoning skills and appropriate assessment tools.

To delegate aspects of the patient treatment plan to other members of the team, whilst maintaining overall responsibility for patients care, where appropriate.

Work with individuals to assess their mental health, recognise mental illness and identify their related needs and circumstances; and enable them to understand, manage and where appropriate change their behavior.
