Apprentice Contact Centre Agent

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills to join our administration hubs as a business administrator apprentice. You will be based with our growing Primary Care Community & Therapies Clinical Group which provides both inpatient, outpatient and community therapies, medical specialties, and nursing to provide an effective and efficient comprehensive administrative service.
During the apprenticeship training programme you will work towards achieving the requirements of the personal specification. The training will be provided in house; all off the job training will be within working hours. The business administrator apprenticeship will generally take up to 21 months to complete, including end point assessment. On successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will continue on an Agenda for Change Band 2 salary.
**Apprenticeship entry requirements**:
You will provide an administrative service for the clinical services sending out appointment letters, registering patients to the service, answering telephone queries regarding appointments and other clerical duties to support the Service provided by the group
You will be expected to take referral over the telephone and process according to the guidelines for the services.
The role expect you to provide a reception function at our Primary Care Assessment unit
You must be able to work under pressure as part of a team. You will require good interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritise their own workload.
There will be a requirement to learn the patient administration systems to work effectively within a paperless environment.
You will be expected to participate in the 3 shift pattern to provide administrative cover Mon - Fri 08:00 - 18:00 on a rota basis which means 8-4,9-5 10-6 shift cover each week along with weekend working to facilitate 7 day working.
GCE/GCSE English equivalent to a Grade C
Excellent communication skill to deal with patients, colleagues and referring agents
Ability to prioritise own work and work under pressure with conflicting demands
