**National Kitchen Trainer**
As a national trainer for The New World Trading Company (NWTC) you are responsible for ensuring training and expertise is delivered consistently across our sites. You push people forward and encourage growth in everyone. You are play a critical role in team engagement and maintaining standards. Training at NWTC is never boring and so fun should be at the heart of everything you do and you are always looking for new and exciting ways of training - supporting our goal of delivering industry-leading training and development.
You will be heavily involved in our new openings, not only training and developing entire teams from day-1 scratch, but also ensuring the site is set up operationally and ready to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
You will also support the creation and development of training materials - including digital resources as well as practical sessions. You will deliver training to full teams of people yourself, as well as preparing resources for other people to train from.
You’ll provide support to some of our site-based teams, advising them on the best approaches to their training needs to ensure they can meet their KPI’s and that we continue to grow a culture of learning, development and coaching in the business.
You will act as a champion of the NWTC core values and ethos at all time and always portray an upbeat, positive attitude. You are a champion of standards and knowledge and a go-to person for our teams when they need training support. **Overall Responsibilities**
- Operate as a strategic training partner for relevant operational department or function
- Monitor and provide support for all Site Coaches, to ensure site training KPI’s are consistently met - including completion of basic training, compliance training.
- Provide support and coaching to develop new and existing Coaches, improving their skillset.
- Develop training programmes and material that contribute to sites being able to deliver their training and site performance (operational) KPIs.
- Create and maintain training materials, including manuals, specs, test packs, online material, e-learning and any multimedia.
- Create and deliver regular training and development opportunities and interventions that help to grow the skills and knowledge of our teams at a national level; and contribute to building a culture of learning and development.
- Ensure further development opportunities (internal and external) are relevant, useful and effective and accessible for teams, and encourage and champion teams to complete them.
- Provide individual training support for sites where necessary to help with specific training needs (e.g. where training is needed to improve the sites performance in certain areas).
- Regularly review training processes and evaluate all training delivered.
- Provide other training support and consultancy throughout the business where needed (on an ad-hoc project basis).
**Openings**
- Lead the training programme for the new team, ensuring the site is set to meet their training KPI’s.
- Take lead/ownership of site Coach responsibilities in lieu of Coaches being appointed.
- Where necessary, provide support at openings for site managers:
- Ensure sites are set up to be operationally successful and efficient.
- Work alongside the management team post-opening to ensure stability and success in the site, including succession plans to appoint coaches and develop the team.
- Provide advice and guide selection of support team (“vanguards”) for a smooth and supported post-opening period; and provide guidance for that team when in site.
- Make sure the team and standards are stable and consistent before handing over to operations.
