This new position sits within the Digital Product Team of 20 in Strategic Infrastructure (S.I) and plays a critical role in leveraging Digital Technologies to achieve business objectives. The team, compromising of Product Managers, Solution Architects and Business Analysts, formulates a comprehensive digital strategy & roadmap aligned with the organisation's overall goals and delivers digital and data solutions formed in the roadmap to create efficiencies and enable the business to deliver its objectives.
This lead role will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective management and use of information systems and their adoption within SI organisation. This role will drive definition and implementation of the Digitalisation & Information Management Strategy. It will maintain develop and deliver client capability within central in-house Digitalisation & Information Management team, acting as a centre of excellence for Information, data centric ways of working and best-practice in information management.

- Proven experience in an Information Management Leadership role within complex infrastructure organisation
- Can successfully operate at Board level, forming strong relationships and engagement as needed across all levels of the Business Entity
- A good understanding of information and data management on capital project and technology landscape relevant to the sector to provide specialist technical support and leadership.
- Knowledge of capital project delivery, awareness of relevant standards and UK government mandates and expectations related to information management, data management, asset management and modern ways of working,

Additionally you’ll have good leadership, relationship and communication skills and a good understanding of financial management, benefits management and realisation linked to business results

**What You'll Do**:
The primary focus will involve:

- Developing and driving the strategic vision for information management in alignment with the organisation's goals. This involves staying ahead of technological advancements and industry trends to ensure National Grid's systems and processes are robust, innovative, and future proof; drive data and information management best practices across Strategic Infrastructure organisation and ensure that appropriate readiness arrangements for projects and programmes are in place to enable effective delivery of strategic priorities.
- Delivering the strategy and implement ISO 19650- The digitisation of Information for Strategic Infrastructure.
- Defining and maintain Digitalisation & Information Management Strategy and drive the programme of activities informed by a strong link to organisation readiness priorities covering processes, technology, and data needs.

Furthermore you will:

- Identify opportunities for improvement to operational and management processes that digitalisation creates.
- Ensure efficient and reliable adoption of information systems, ensuring end user needs are met and accountability for systems and data capabilities are identified and understood.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to information management.
- Combine knowledge of capital project delivery, awareness of UK government relevant mandates and papers and developments in technology to identify risks, opportunities and action plans required to drive improvements in digital maturity.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Drive initiatives that leverage technology to enhance the grid's performance, sustainability, and service delivery.
