Senior Admin Lead

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a positive approach to change to lead the admin workforce supporting adult mental health community and in-patient services. The role will support clinical service delivery and the implementation and transition of new ways of working at St Michael’s Hospital, Woodloes House, Aspen Centre and Warwick Resource Centre.
The post holder will be responsible for the day to day management of the admin support workforce (approximately 40 staff) across sites in line with the Trust’s values with experience of managing staff being an essential requirement for the role. The post holder will be responsible for planning and reviewing the allocation of admin support to meet service needs and support the standardisation of admin across the Trust to improve efficiency and effectiveness to services.
The role will include service development, project work and implementation of change processes in line with the strategic objectives of the Trust, which will include creation of Business Continuity Plans and Standard Operating Procedures.
You must be able to build effective working relationships across all disciplines, be approachable and accessible with excellent communication, planning and organisational skills. The role will be the interface for services in terms of effective management, transformational change, and the use of administration support to services within the Trust.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POST
- To ensure service delivery is supported by an effective and efficient admin and clerical support function across all services in the building(s)
- To effectively manage and supervise the admin and clerical team in order to flex to the needs of services
- To oversee the development of the admin and clerical staff
- To develop and implement new ways of working within the admin and clerical team in line with the strategic objectives of the Trust and the Transformational Change Programme.
- To ensure service delivery is supported by fit for purpose buildings and equipment
- To ensure that the Trust is optimising the use of clinical and meeting rooms to support service delivery
- To deputise for the Band 6 Support Services Lead as a point of contact for estates and other departments in the building(s) and liaise with the Estates and Procurement in terms of any landlord issues
- To assist managers and clinicians with service development and project work
- Provide flexible administrative and clerical cover as required. This might occasionally involve working at another base in the local area during cross cover arrangements.
As the role will require travel to other Trust sites, including meetings and training, access to independent means of travel is an essential requirement.
