This role will be working in the ForrestBrown Global Services department, specifically supporting our parent company alliantgroup to deliver Employee Retention Credit analysis to U.S. businesses. Putting it simply, the Employee Retention Credit (ERC) is exactly what it sounds like - business owners are being rewarded for their efforts to keep employees on payroll during the pandemic. Joining us on an Industrial Placement, you’ll work closely with ForrestBrown Global Services tax specialists to identify and substantiate tax credits - helping the U.S. economy not only recover from the pandemic, but to come back stronger than before.

**What will I be doing?**

***First of all, you’ll be working collaboratively with the Client Support team on a variety of client requests, developing invaluable skills in client service, time management, project management, and relationship building. On your Industrial placement at FB Global Services, you’ll have real exposure from the start, and we’d love for you to get stuck in. But you won’t do it alone. We’re an encouraging bunch and want you to do well. We have our own dedicated training program to equip you with the knowledge and expertise you need to feel confident in representing FB Global Services to our clients.

As part of the process, you will be required to draft and review documentation setting out the basis of our client's claim for the Employee retention Credit with reference to the US tax regulations and both federal and state orders, mandates and guidelines. Attention to detail, and an understanding of how legislation is drafted and interpreted are essential skills in respect to this part of the role.

**What are we looking for?**

For our work placement, we’re looking for penultimate students looking to complete a placement as part of their degree and get a head start in their career. You might be a law or business management student looking for industry experience, or you just might be interested in gaining client service skills in a fresh new environment. As part of the role is reviewing legislation and government orders, any experience in legal writing would be advantageous.

All we look for is a strong work ethic and desire to work in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
