Come and join Dementia Forward as a Community Volunteer

In this role, you will work alongside the Community Liaison Team to support fundraising and awareness raising events in your local area.

Main Responsibilities:

- Attending events as a representative of Dementia Forward
- Talking to the public - raising awareness and answering questions about the charity where appropriate
- Inputting ideas as to how money can be raised; including the planning, organising and promoting of fundraising events
- Support local fundraising and community engagement events
- Distributing promotional materials in your local area
- Follow guidelines and money handling procedures for given activities

No specific experience or qualifications are required, but all Dementia Forward volunteers must adhere to the procedural guidelines as laid out in the Volunteer policy.

How we will support you:

- Providing a Dementia Forward induction
- Direct support and training from the Dementia Forward team
- Reimbursement of agreed out-of-pocket expenses
- Risk assessment where necessary

- North Yorkshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
