With over 200 services operating across the UK, we are one of the largest providers of support services in the country, employing approximately 3,500 dedicated professionals and volunteers each year.
Research Collaboration OpportunityWe are seeking a highly skilled Research Specialist to collaborate on two research projects focused on improving access to mental well-being support for Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller communities. This role will involve conducting fieldwork with the GRT community in County Durham and working closely with the Research Team and the Waythrough Research and Development Co-ordinator.
About the Role- Develop and deliver community-based research activities, working closely with the Research and Development Co-ordinator and Humankind/Waythrough Housing Support Team to understand GRT communities' experiences with mental health and suicide prevention.
- Analyze and present research findings to stakeholders and within Humankind, highlighting the need for service development and improvement.
- Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data from research and evaluation projects to inform service design and modeling.
- Support the Research and Development Co-ordinator as needed.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing and delivering research activities within the GRT community in County Durham.
- Presenting research outputs to stakeholders and colleagues.
- Analyzing and synthesizing data from research and evaluation projects.
- Collaborating with the Research and Development Co-ordinator and supporting meetings as required.
This is a time-limited contract lasting 15 months, providing an opportunity to make a significant impact.
LocationThe role is based with the Durham Housing Support Team/Gypsy Roma and Traveller Team at Bowburn, Durham.
RemunerationThe salary range for this position is £23,088 - £26,440 per annum, reflecting the full earning potential for this role.
