Our client, a UK Freight and Logistics company are currently seeking a Trainee Freight Forwarder for their team based in North Yorkshire.
This is a great opportunity to further a career within the Freight Forwarding and Logistics industries.

As the Trainee Freight Forwarder, you will be assisting with setting up orders, checking loads for deliveries and dealing with all freight documentation, making sure everything is correct.
**Other duties of the Trainee Freight Forwarder**:

- Receiving pre-alerts from overseas agents
- Processing bookings
- Creating jobs using the in-house freight system
- Providing quotations to clients
- Creating files both manually and on the computer system

You will be offered on the job training regarding customer service, sales, finance and overall operations of the company.
The successful Trainee Freight Forwarder will ideally have previous experience working in an office environment within the logistics industry.
Being a confident communicator; in person, on the phone and in writing are good attributes for this role.
**Experience required**:

- Good knowledge of Microsoft office, including Excel and databases
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Ideally - some commercial sense
