Global Health and Safety Ltd are UK‘s local manufacturers of healthcare products, established to manufacture and supply PPE equipment including medical face masks, elastic bandages, and BS 7505 compliant compression therapy solutions.
We are looking for a highly motivated HR Officer to work full-time from our office in Kiln Farm for 9 - 12 months Fixed Term Contract to cover maternity leave.
The role will involve:
- Providing high quality assistance to senior management while conducting HR related processes and projects
- Keeping on top of company software system, ensuring aspects such as employee details, holidays, absences etc. are up to date
- Issuing offer letters and employment contracts using existing templates
- Ensure all employee related administration is executed according to UK employment legislation
- Ensure the HR system is kept up to date with all changes including, new starters, leavers, changes of personal and contractual details, sickness, and other absences as well as the update of training records
- Ensure that managers and staff are aware of all HR policies and procedures and support them with any queries they may have
- Being the first point of contact for employees on any HR related queries
- Ensure recruitment procedures are followed for all roles within the organisation
- Advertise vacancies on recruitment portals and various job boards
- Compile monthly report for payroll including any staff changes, absence report together with details of any temporary payments
- Maintain files, collect, compile, and prepare documentation, draft reports when required
- Deal with a variety of HR administration
- Support the Senior Management Team in tasks as required
To be successful for this role, you will need:
- Experience working in a similar HR role
- Relevant HR qualifications or working towards a HR qualification
- Knowledge of UK Employment Law and best practice
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Package: Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Teams
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent internal and external customer service skills
- Excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills
**Salary**: £25,000 - £29,000 (depending on experience)
Working hours: 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday
