Howdens Joinery are looking for a Receptionist / Office Administrator, to join us on a permanent basis at our purpose-built site in Raunds, Northamptonshire. Reporting to the Reception and Charities Manager, as Receptionist you will, ensure all incoming calls and visitors to the site are greeted with a professional and friendly welcome, that promotes the brand in a positive light and ensures the strength of the Howdens brand is portrayed right from the start of their journey.

This is a full-time position, between the hours of 9:00am - 5:30pm with one hour for lunch. As a confident, articulate comminutor, you will build and maintain excellent working relationships, both internally and externally, working with key stakeholders including the Reception & Charities Manager, Catering, Health & Safety, and Facilities Management.

**What will I be doing as Receptionist & Office Administrator**:

- To provide a best-in-class welcome to all visitors and newcomers to site.
- Provide VIP welcome to PLC Board and Group Executive members, with fine attention to detail to meet specific, individual needs.
- Point of contact on reception to deal with all incoming calls, deliveries, external visitors, and colleagues
- Manage catering staff to ensure that VIP meetings and on-site events are appropriately catered for.
- Arranging transport for visitors ie: taxis.
- Ensure all kitchens are fully stocked with refreshments on a daily basis
- Liaise with the catering manager daily to keep up to date on themed menus, daily updates, lunch numbers
- Assist with additional activities required for the daily management of the office inc. courier bookings and ad-hoc administration support where required

**What we are looking for**:

- Educated to GSCE standard with a good level of Mathematics and English.
- Previous experience of reception or customer service in a fast-paced customer focused commercial environment
- Previous office experience to include accurate data entry
- Excellent writing skills
- Articulate and numerate
- Confident in challenging situations with the ability to remain calm when under pressure
- Ability to multi-task, problem solve quickly, effectively, and professionally.
- Highly self-motivated and a genuine team player
- Understanding of and interest in own and wider team members
- Flexible and adaptable approach
- Discretion and trustworthiness - especially with confidential information.
