Assistant Psychologist - Band 4

Full time, 12month Fixed Term Contract

The Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust provides comprehensive mental health and learning disability services to the population of Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull. There are four Community Teams for adults with a Learning Disability throughout the organisation. This post is based within the team that covers Coventry and Rugby.

You would be joining our Psychological Service which includes Clinical Psychologists, Art Therapists, Trainees and Assistants. There is strong multi-disciplinary working within the team and the contribution of psychological services staff is highly valued. Successful applicants will receive excellent support and regular, good quality supervision and opportunities for continuing professional development.

Within the role, you will provide support to psychological services and the wider CLDT in the form of assessment, formulation, intervention, and evaluation.

Carry out clinically related administration, conduct service audits, and collect various statistics, complex statistical analysis to determine possible improvements and areas for the Operational and professional/clinical leads to address.

Support the development of standardised assessment and outcome measures.

Research, create and collect patient experiences measures as needed.

Contribute to creation and facilitation of presentations and workshops as needed.

Using statistical analysis to create detailed presentation for the multi-disciplinary team with support from the operational and professional /clinical leads as required.

To offer and provide low intensity psychosocial interventions to individuals referred into the service under the supervision and direction of qualified professionals including a psychologist.

Work independently according to a plan agreed with a qualified professional and within the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POST

**Working as part of the CLDT**: a functionalised team which creates and delivers specialist plans/interventions to support clients with a Learning Disability, with or without Autism, who present with behaviour that challenges.

Creating formats for complex data reports

Exporting reports and creating graphs and presentations to a very high standard, often used at senior managerial meetings.

Researching appropriate triage/assessment measure and outcome measure

Researching workshop materials and subsequently creating workshop presentations with assistance and advice from clinical/professional leads

Contribute and take part in the delivery of specific workshops around the Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust for groups of various sizes.

Creating leaflets and information booklets to promote the service

Ensuring client data is accurately recorded; mistakes corrected and brought to clinical / professional leads attention.

**Carrying out one to one brief therapeutic interventions**: assertiveness, confidence building, and self-esteem, Cognitive Behavioural Approaches with guidance, support and advice from a qualified Learning Disability health professional.

Monitoring care pathway movements of clients

Creating and maintaining spread sheets to record data not stored by the in house system, if required
