Venture-People offer outreach support and housing solutions to individuals with a mental health need, maximising their independence with the right support at the right time. We work in a person-centred and recovery-focused approach, steeped in therapeutic optimism.
We are looking for Support Workers who will make up a growing team within the Adur area of West Sussex, covering Shoreham-by-Sea, Lancing, and Portslade.
Your role will be delivering quality support that enables people to achieve their outcomes by using and developing person-centred support plans. You will be able to manage risks and vulnerabilities whilst promoting social inclusion and maximising the opportunities for the people you support.

**Additional Information**
On a full-time contract, your working pattern would be Monday to Friday, 09.00-17.30 with some weekend rotation.

**To be successful in this Mental Health Support Worker role you will need**:
- An enthusiasm and interest in working within the mental health sector.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A willingness to go the extra mile.
- A flexible approach that respects individual differences.
- An ability to work as part of a team as well as independently, using your initiative.
**Desired Skills**:
It would be desirable for you to have had experience supporting a person(s) with a mental health condition and within community-based services.
