**JOB Overview**:
**F/T or P/T Hybrid working so home and office (based in Preston), Pay pro rata equivalent**

**JOB PURPOSE**:
The post holder will be responsible for providing the administrative and media support to Community Pharmacy Lancashire (CPL), both the committee and the team.

The role has a strong emphasis on collaborative and flexible working, operating within defined processes to ensure appropriate governance is always maintained and activity is delivered within agreed timescales.

This is a key outward facing role for CPL.

**DIMENSIONS**:
**Financial**:Indirect responsibility for an annual budget of £360K

**Staff**:Responsible for supporting members of CPL, the staff and Treasurer

**Other**:Building and maintaining relationships with circa 360 contractors and their pharmacy teams, and other stakeholders

**Location**: Office based Preston

**PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Support delivery of the operational plans of CPL
- Build and maintain accurate records
- Provide secretarial services including document archiving and maintenance of

distribution groups
- Support effective communication with committee members, contractors and all other stakeholders
- Work within all the agreed business processes
- Maintain accurate financial records to allow payments in line with business process and delegated authorities for payment
- Respond appropriately to all queries within agreed service level agreements
- Identify ways of working to increase efficiencies
- Use the agreed administrative system(s) to make the team more efficient
- Prepare and analyse data to identify trends
- Effective diary management of oneself and CEO
- Greet and assist any visitors to CPL
- Facilitate and support CPL in contractor engagement visits
- Organise meetings
- Manage the bulletin and social media pages by writing original copy, posting updates and responding to comments and messages
- Market CPL to stakeholders by creating appropriate content for a variety of channels to grow and develop the CPL brand over time
- Update and maintain the website, using website analytics to ascertain the relative effectiveness of ongoing campaigns and understand the way users interact with the site
- Deliver the agreed key objectives and deliverables within agreed deadlines
- Maintain confidentially and governance arrangements in line with statutory and regulatory requirements
- Maintain knowledge of latest pharmacy policies and guidance, best practice, views of national pharmacy organisations and other LPCs
- Manage resources and activity with agreed budget

**CONTEXT**:
Community Pharmacy Lancashire (CPL) is the name adopted by Lancashire Local Pharmaceutical Committee (LPC).

In England LPCs are the recognised statutory bodies that represent community pharmacy contractors in discussions about locally commissioned pharmacy services and the role of the sector in the wider health and care system in their defined region; whilst providing advice and support to pharmacy contractors to help them deliver both nationally and locally commissioned services.

Every community pharmacy with an NHS contract is represented by the relevant LPC for their area. CPL being the third largest in England representing circa 357 community pharmacy contractors in Blackburn with Darwen, Blackpool, and Lancashire.

CPL conducts its business in line with the LPC Constitution, and within financial, regulatory and contractual frameworks defined in UK law.

Superior(s): Working under the direct responsibility of the Chief Executive Officer with direction from the Chair and Chairs of Sub-groups. Supporting the work of the Treasurer

Other contacts: A member of the CPL staff. Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, the pharmacy teams and contractors
