Mademoiselle Desserts are a leading manufacturer and supplier of frozen cakes and desserts, supplying cafes, restaurants and coffee shops around the UK.

The Supply Chain Administrator will play a pivotal role in the success of the business, by carrying out tasks accurately and in a timely manner, whilst also being proactive and looking to question and improve procedures and processes.

The role will consist of two core areas, Production Planning and Materials Planning, with duties not limited to:
**Materials Planning - Key Duties & Responsibilities**
- Use MRP to plan, purchase and expedite materials to arrive at the right levels and at the right time to fulfil the requirements of the bakery in a proactive manner.
- Place purchase orders, check order confirmations match our requirements, and resolve any queries with the supplier.
- Communicate to key areas of the business material issues or shortages
- Control and manage raw materials nearing expiry
- Represent the Purchasing function at meetings where required, both internal and with suppliers.
- Resolve invoice queries and put processes into place to reduce the number of issues.

**Production Planning - Key Duties & Responsibilities**
- Use MRP to produce weekly production plans for the firm production window, considering customer demand, forecasts, required trials and business requirements whilst adhering to capacity restraints.
- Accurately process sales orders received externally and through EDI following through to despatching status.
- Advise all relevant stakeholders in a timely manner, of any issues arising that cannot be rectified
- Acting as first point of contact for sales orders & customers
- Liaising between suppliers, relevant internal departments and customers
- Represent the Planning function at meetings where required, both internal and with customers.
- Liaising with hauliers and external warehouses to ensure stock is delivered to customers on time and resolving queries.
- Build close working relationships with associated departments, in particular with Sales, Production and NPD..
- Any other duties as deemed reasonable by direct line manager

**Formal Qualifications/Skills/Knowledge**
- MS Office literate (Excel, Outlook, Word, and Power Point)
- Experience of using an ERP/MRP based system for planning and purchasing.
- An understanding of production planning/scheduling
- A strong, organised character that can cope with the challenging and changing environment.
- Able to handle problems and provide clear concise solutions.
- Excellent customer service focus, communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and confident to challenge.
- Accurate, proactive and reliable.

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
