**Job Title**: Customer Service & Operations Assistant

**Reporting to**: Queen Street Management Committee

**About the RI**

The RI is a cornerstone of sport in York, and has stood tall for over 100 years.

The Queen Street site offers a wealth of activities to the public at affordable cost, in line with our charitable mission to get people of all ages and backgrounds happier and healthier through sports and activities.

**About the role**

This role would suit someone with a passion for sport who is interested in progressing in this area.

You will be primarily responsible for providing high quality customer service to the members of the RI and ensuring safe and efficient use of the facilities.

What we are looking for:
**Essential**:

- Previous customer facing experience
- Motivated and driven to work unsupervised
- Ability to work flexibly
- Good computer skills and ability to become proficient in new systems quickly
- A passion for the sports and activities that the Queen Street facility offers

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Provide an excellent customer service experience for users of the RI with a positive and pragmatic attitude
- Ensure the smooth running of large events e.g. tournaments
- Take and manage bookings via our SportsBooker system
- Respond to and resolve user queries
- Reconcile membership payments
- Follow the opening and closing procedure
- Undertake the required cleaning as part of the opening and closing procedures
- Undertake regular walk-throughs of the venue to ensure the safe use of the facilities
- Undertake the relevant health and safety checks when they are due
- Effectively and efficiently report any incidents in the relevant incident book and to the relevant person on the Queen Street Management Committee
- Vigilantly follow the required health and safety procedures of the venue
- This is not an exhaustive list, you will be given other responsibilities as and when required

**Pay**: £12 p/h

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.00 per hour
