**Position Overview**:
As a Customer Service Representative at our York-based equipment hire company, you will be the frontline ambassador for our business. Your strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and dedication to exceeding customer expectations will be instrumental in ensuring our clients have a positive experience throughout their equipment rental journey.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Customer Interaction: Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, both in person and over the phone. Assist customers with inquiries about equipment availability, pricing, rental terms, and services offered.
- Order Assistance: Guide customers through the equipment rental process, from selecting the appropriate equipment for their needs to providing accurate quotes and rental agreements. Ensure customers have a clear understanding of our offerings and policies.
- Problem Resolution: Address customer concerns, complaints, and inquiries effectively and efficiently. Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and provide prompt solutions that align with our company's policies.
- Order Processing: Process equipment rental orders accurately, ensuring all relevant details are captured. Coordinate delivery and pickup schedules in collaboration with the operations team.
- Product Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of our equipment inventory to assist customers in selecting the right products for their projects. Stay updated on new equipment arrivals and features.
- Documentation of meticulous records of customer interactions, rental agreements, and communication history. Input and update customer information in our database.
- Upselling and Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities to upsell additional services or equipment that align with customer needs. Provide information about relevant add-ons or accessories.
- Client Relations: Build and nurture strong relationships with customers, cultivating loyalty and repeat business. Seek customer feedback and relay insights to improve our services.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, operations, and administrative teams to ensure seamless customer experiences and efficient processes.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in customer service is advantageous.
- Previous experience in customer service or a related field.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric mindset.
- Empathy and patience when dealing with customers' inquiries and concerns.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well under pressure.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn about equipment offerings.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends if required.
