We’re seeking a future team member for the role of SANCTIONS COMPLIANCE INVESTIGATOR to join our COMPLIANCE team. This role will be located in LONDON or EDINBURGH (Hybrid).
**In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways**:
- Review and action OFAC, OFSI and EU economic sanctions alert escalations
- Complete write up of alert disposition rationale and/or request additional information and documentation pertinent to alert disposition
- Conduct Quality Control and Quality Assurance reviews to ensure compliance with sanctions regulatory requirements and internal procedures
- Identify, document and escalate sanctions regulatory and/or internal control-related risk to internal governance committees
- Support proactive initiatives to understand the extent of potential future sanctions exposure for BNY Mellon in the event of certain geopolitical events or scenarios
- Otherwise support the maintenance and enhancement of the Global and/or EMEA Sanctions Compliance Programme, as required
**To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher accreditation or equivalent work experience required
- Strong knowledge of banking products/services and transactions, including SWIFT, payments, securities, trade finance
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, verbal, and written communication skills
- Significant sanctions experience, particularly in OFAC, OFSI and EU economic sanctions laws and regulations
