**THE COMPANY**:
Our client is a successful banking firm with a strong global presence, offering a comprehensive range of services across corporate and investment banking activities.

**THE RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- To assist the provision of sanctions training to key stakeholders to ensure they understand and comply with the Bank’s requirements.
- To assist the holistic sanctions compliance programme, where required.
- To escalate effectively any matters that require further guidance.
- Coordinate communications
- To assist the sanctions functions on strategic project initiatives to the sanction’s compliance program in EMEA.
- Ensure applicable policies and procedures are maintained and up to date.
- To act as an escalation, point for relevant MI, management packs and training
- To assist increased focus on EMEA sanctions outsourcing, internal and external audit
- Track and manage reporting of sanctions systems and controls failings
- Track and manage strategic enhancements to the sanctions compliance program in EMEA.
- To assist the sanctions functions on strategic project initiatives relating to the internal control environment.

**EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:

- An understanding of key sanctions regimes/ financial crime
- Inquisitive, motivated, and highly trustworthy with an ability to work with the minimum of direct supervision
- Experienced in dealing with highly confidential material.
- Ability to independently understand multiple strands of data and documentation.
- Strong analytical skills, capable of making logical assessments based upon factual data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially when faced with challenge
- An understanding of Banking products and services would be preferable.
- Excellent IT Skills (e.g. Microsoft Excel)
