This is a Fixed term post for 12 months.

An exciting secondment opportunity has arisen to join the Health and Care Staffing (Scotland) Act (HCSSA) Programme within the NHSGGC Corporate Planning team for a period of 12 months.

Working alongside Planning Managers across the Corporate Planning Team the post holder will contribute to the delivery of Board Strategy by providing operational planning and change management input to relevant HCSSA implementation action planning sub groups, across professions and Acute and community services. The post holder will work closely with the HCSSA PMO as part of a coordinated approach to support delivery of Board objectives aligned to all the Boards 4 Aims, especially Better Health.

The post holder will gain experience working with a wide range of professions across Sectors and HSCP’s. A key component of the role will be the ability to build and sustain positive relationships to enable delivery against organisational priorities. This will be used alongside skills in coordination, planning, tracking, complex information gathering, analysis of data and activity progress monitoring and progression, to help inform change and service development. The post holder will also gain exposure to national organisations such as Health Improvement Scotland and the Care Inspectorate and Scottish Government and networks such as the Workforce HSP Leads.

Part of a dynamic, solution-focused team, you will support process improvement and re-design in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. The Corporate Planning Team undertakes a significant amount of complex information gathering, analysis and performance monitoring to deliver the Board’s planning objectives.

As a Planning Officer, you will play a key role in supporting change and informing continuous development by sourcing, collating and analysing complex data and processes, producing evidence based reports outlining options and recommendations to support senior members of the HCSSA Programme and Corporate Planning Function. The post will provide planning, change management support for delivery of Implementation Action Plan activities, supporting the HCSSA PMO and associated Workstreams with a wide range of activities programmes.

Ideally you should be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience in a relevant discipline, with evidence of significant CPD and professional competence and expertise. You should have knowledge of information governance and legislative requirements with respect to Records Management, Data Protection and Freedom of Information, and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage colleagues. Understanding of the Health and Care Staffing (Scotland) Act 2019 would be desirable. The shift pattern for this post is 37.5 hours Monday - Friday between the hours of 8.30 and 5.30pm, which can be discussed on offer.
