Location**: Buttershaw, Bradford**

As a Water Resource Analyst, you will work closely with the Water Resources Planning Manager to identify and develop WRMP supply and demand options with consultant support, including cross-business working in particular with Operational and Asset Planning teams to understand future potential options. You will also ensure option data is collated in line with regulatory requirements and assist in managing the end-to-end process of creating an optimised WRMP.

Using your skills and knowledge, you will develop WRMP water balance supply components, including populating and running excel-based uncertainty models of headroom and outage and analysing process loss data. You will also assess local supply/demand balance risks and the need for investment in local resilience.

Additionally, you will document WRMP processes and present at audits, work with consultants/partners as required, and contribute to the WRMP Annual Review and other data requirements. When required, you will assist with the implementation of the Drought Plan and related company escalation processes.

To be successful in this role, you should be a detail-oriented individual with experience and knowledge in data analytics, and ideally water resources management, with the ability to work cross-business to ensure engagement in options identification, development, costing, and optimisation. An ability to work with third party organisations, such as consultants and other water companies, will also be essential.

**Essential**
- Strong analytical skills including proficiency in MS Excel and Word
- Attention to detail and ability to input data and maintain accuracy
- Ability to document procedures and verbally explain to others
- Ability to manage own workload and progress tasks simultaneously
- Ability to develop and manage action trackers
- Ability to interpret and articulate business implications
- Owns and has a positive attitude to solving problems

**Desirable**
- Understanding of the water industry regulatory frameworks
- Water resource planning experience
- Experience of creating excel based models
- Appreciation of water resources planning principles
- Strong interpersonal skills, which are used to effectively communicate technical details and outcomes
- Working knowledge of regulatory processes in the water industry
- Experience of delivering against challenging business targets
