**Location**:Regionally based, this is a flexible hybrid arrangement. Our hybrid setup typically requires an average of 2-3 office or on-site days per week for this role. This could be slightly more when collaborative efforts, training or meeting deadlines demand it. For those who prefer to work on-site, our offices are open Monday-Friday during working hours.

**Working Hours**: Permanent. 37 hours per week Monday to Friday, expectation to participate in a senior leader standby rota.

**Team Size**: c.200 with an expectation this will grow to meet the increase in investment in AMP8.

5.5 million people in Yorkshire rely on the services we provide. Every day we produce and supply 1.3 billion litres of water utilising 115 reservoirs, 50 water treatment works and 32,000 kilometres of pipework.

Yorkshire Water plan to invest over £2bn into our water assets over the next 5 years, this role is the chief architect of that investment, working with our strategic planning partner and colleagues across the business to ensure we maximise the value to customers and the environment.

**Where you fit in**:
As our Head of Asset Management and Water Quality, you will be:

- Creating and leading a high performing team with a clear vision, objectives, and accountabilities.
- Promoting an efficient and effective TOTEX (Total Operating Expenditure) programme, based on the TOTEX hierarchy to the value of up to £2bn (2025-2030) to deliver performance and service in line with commitments maximising value through our six capitals approach.
- Delivering a plan which improves our assets and performance for our customers and the environment across the areas of water abstraction, storage, treatment, transmission, distribution, supply, and service to customers.
- Owing the plan to improve our Performance Commitments in water supply: Water Quality Compliance, Leakage, Water Resources, Supply Interruptions, Per Capita Consumption, Asset Health to name a few.
- Responsible for a £0.9bn 5-year (2020-25) investment plan to improve water resource management, water quality and water cycle assets to improve service, reduce demand and enhance environmental performance across the region of Yorkshire Water. From physical assets, to hardware, software, technology, and data this investment plan must ensure we utilise new methods and embrace digital capability to improve service, asset health and the service customers receive now and in the future.
- Optimisation of the asset plan through performance monitoring, investigation and risk management, identification, and implementation of sustainable asset management cycle solutions i.e. people, plant, digital, procedures etc based on statistical data and Principal Engineering expertise.
- Lead technical disciplines such as Water Quality, Asset Sponsors and Engneering to enable delivery of investment schemes, engaging with the operational and delivery teams to get the best solution for our customers and colleagues.
