Company Description
We are the people **who will find a way**
Home Instead is the world’s leading provider of non-medical care and companionship services for older people.
With minimum visits of two hours, award-winning training, and an excellent reputation we are immensely proud of the quality of care we provide. We match our CARE PROFESSIONALS to our clients based on mutual interests and hobbies to help build bonds of trust and enable us to provide personalised support.
**Job Description**:
Have you ever picked up a prescription for a friend or accompanied someone to the doctor? Have you ever helped someone in your local community, carried their shopping for them? Or, have you simply just lent your ear to a friend or offered a shoulder to lean on when somebody has needed some emotional support? I bet you have, but you haven't really thought about it
Becoming a CARE PROFESSIONAL with Home Instead is simply all those things that you do to enhance the quality of life for seniors and to help keep them independent in their own homes. With Home Instead, care means quality care. It means providing support that is completely personalised to the individual and is based on a close bond formed from personality similarities, shared experiences, or interests.
Most important WE DO NOT "pop in" we have a minimum of two-hour visits.
We schedule your visits with clients every week on the same day and time, allowing your client to know who to expect and when, and for you to have a structure in your diary.
Because of this, you can help families know that their loved ones remain safe and well, and cared for at home. You can deliver a rewarding experience to people who may be lonely or require a bit of extra support to retain their independence.
We are looking for people with a big heart, lovely personalities, and a big smile. Can you have a flowing conversation with another person? Could you make someone’s day with your visit? Do you have a warm, kind, caring nature with some time to share with another?
We are able to provide the option of Zero Hours or Guaranteed Hours contract, depending on the number of hours you can do. Please note that because we match you to your clients, hours will build slowly in the beginning.
- £12.15 - £13.25 per hour for a two-hour visit, and £16.10* for a one-hour visit. (PLEASE NOTE: Our visits are mostly 2 hours long)
- Alternate weekend availability preferable.
- You'll need access to your own reliable transport to visit our clients in their own homes, as most people would like to be taken out to places of interest.
- 30p - 45p per mile mileage, after your first 7 miles of your natural commute to and from any place of work.
- Be a part of a very supportive, and caring team.
- The opportunity to be part of an award-winning organization, rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), focused on providing the highest quality of care to our clients and being the employer of choice in the local area.
- City and Guilds Accredited Dementia, Parkinson's, and End of Life Training
- Support to further your professional standing through completion of the Care Certificate, and Health and Social Care QCF framework.
- Employee Assistance Programme provides 24/7 advice, resources, and information to support your well-being.
- Employee Reward scheme
- Employee Shopping Discount Scheme
- Comprehensive infection control training and PPE provided
If all this sounds too good to be true, then please call Home Instead Reigate & Tandridge, we are waiting for your call, and your perfect role could be within reach.
**Qualifications**:
We need you to be;
Someone who finds the reasons why you CAN, rather than you can't.
Well presented with customer service experience.
A great conversationalist, sociable and friendly with a big heart.
Everything that you would want in a person, to look after your loved one.
Additional Information
As a CARE PROFESSIONAL, you will receive industry-leading training, great rates of pay, and excellent support.
