ROSEWOOD CARE HOME
SENIOR CARE ASSISTANT
1.Help residents who need assistance to wash, go to the toilet, get into bed ,get out of bed, get undressed and get dressed
2.Help residents with limited mobility or physical disabilities using equipment provided and as documented in their care plans
3.Assist in control of continence, providing comfort with dignity
4.Care for residents that are temporarily unwell
5.Help care for residents that are at the end of life
6.Read and write reports and other documentation ensuring that legislation is adhered to and standards are maintained ,
7.Take part in all training sessions and attend all staff meetings
8.Make and change beds if necessary
9.Assist in giving stimulation to residents by talking to them and by helping them continue with hobbies and interests
10.Observe health and safety at all times
11.Offer visitors any assistance they may require, offer refreshments and make them welcome
12.Answer emergency bells, telephones and doorbell as necessary
13.Feed residents who may need help
14.Give help and reassurance to residents as necessary
15.Give assistance to those residents who wish to get up
16.Prepare trolley for beverages and snacks and take round to all residents
17.Ensure home security is maintained at all times and the home is run safely in the absence of management
18.Give other members of staff instruction where appropriate and delegate tasks
19.Undertake correct medication procedures and ensure everything is documented
20. Ensure that all relevant documents are completed at the end of shift so you can Handover to appropriate night senior and other staff
21. liaise with any health professionals where needed
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: From £11.44 per hour
Expected hours: 33 per week
