**Head of People - (12 Month Maternity contract)** Hybrid

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of People to join a fast growing, successful business.

With a headcount of 280 and growing, this role has 2 direct reports and works alongside the L&D Champion and Internal Comms Manager. This role will be wide-ranging, requires flexibility, agility and will evolve as the business continues to grow.

**Overview**

Providing a generalist HR service in a fast paced, dynamic role, leading on highly confidential HR activity and undertake projects. You will make a positive impact by:

- Delivery of the People Strategy and plan, aligned with the Company’s business strategy and goals especially around ESG.
- Live and breathe the Mission, Vision and DNA of the business.
- Provide advice and guidance to the Board, Senior Team and line managers on employee matters
- Responsible for GDPR from a people perspective
- Leading on Gender pay gap strategy
- On lead for Employment law related projects, processes
- Working closely with our L&D Champion to support, influence, develop and coach people managers to manage employment challenges and development.
- Advise on absence management and occupational health issues, seeking specialist advice as appropriate
- Manage the annual compensation process and identify any issues that need to be considered and factored into the review
- Update all salaries within the HR system and ensure accurate information is maintained following salary reviews
- Support Line Managers with the annual compensation process guidelines; guide managers on how to distribute salary across their business areas, providing challenge where necessary
- Produce People Board report on a monthly basis monitoring KPIs and strategic recommendations
- Manage any people related projects as directed by the Board of Directors & People & Culture Director
- Monthly payroll activities ensuring accuracy of information.
- Ensure updates to policy documentation are regularly reviewed in line with legislation changes and published in a timely manner.

**Professional/Technical Skills**
- Level 7 CIPD
- Full understanding of HR systems (People XD by Access)
- Excellent technology skills, specifically Microsoft Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Strong knowledge and understanding of UK & EU Employment Law
- Be alert to Conduct Risk, specifically the risk of harm to business interests, market integrity and/or competition in financial markets due to inappropriate practices or behaviours across the firm.

- Extensive experience in leading and managing discipline, grievance, restructuring, redundancies, performance management, sickness absence workforce planning.
