Crystal Care Solutions are a specialist, independent social care organization who operate a number of residential and supported living units across the region.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Crystal Care Solutions team for a Residential Children’s Worker within one of our registered Children’s Homes. Our aim and yours will be to transform the lives of looked-after children. As a Residential Children’s Worker, every day will be different and you won’t find a more rewarding career.

We want to hear from caring, enthusiastic and dedicated team players with a can-do approach who really care about the needs of young people. You’ll enjoy working with children and young people, providing day to day support, guidance and activities. You’ll create a safe, caring and supportive place to live for children and young people.

This shift pattern works as a Rotational 2-week pattern: week 1 - Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat & Sun and week 2 Weds & Thurs. Shifts run from 10pm to 9am.

**Essential Job Requirements**
- Provide a safe environment for the young people in our care
- Good communication skills with the ability to develop positive relationships
- Be a good team player to provide a high level of care and achieve positive outcomes
- Encourage the young people to be motivated and take part in activities, education and extracurricular activities
- Have attention to detail ensuring correct information is recorded in all paperwork
- Demonstrate a commitment to own training and development
- Be able to adapt working practice to the ethos of the home
- Have resilience, motivation and determination
- Can adapt to challenging and changing situations
- Be inclusive to all children and young people
- Be confident in using Microsoft Office including Outlook and Word, or willing to learn
- Be flexible and able to undertake shift work including weekends and sleep-ins.
- Full UK driving licence

**Desirable Attributes**
- Diploma Level 3 qualified in Children and Young Persons Workforce or equivalent or willingness to work towards the above Level 3 qualification funded by the organisation
- Knowledge of current legislation relevant to Children’s Homes
- Experience of Ofsted inspections
- Understanding of attachment and trauma in relation to young people
