**The Role**
The Trust Compliance Administrator, will be responsible for providing organisational and administration support to central functions of the Trust, including governance, compliance. communications, and marketing
**Background**
Nishkam School Trust (NST) is a multi-faith Sikh ethos, school that nurtures pupils of all faiths and beliefs. It is one of the first multi-academy free school trusts in the UK. The Trust has opened two free schools in Birmingham
(primary in 2011 and a secondary in 2012) both of which are judged Ofsted Outstanding, and a third, a primary free school in Wolverhampton judged Ofsted Good with Outstanding features. Nishkam School West London opened in 2013 and now occupies a flagship building, it too was judged Ofsted Outstanding in 2016.
Duties & Responsibilities

- Maintain the Directorate Team calendar being responsible for diary management for the team; arranging appointments as appropriate, including coordinating meetings, events and conferences, and providing hospitality for guests visiting the Trust to ensure events run smoothly and time is used efficiently.
- Keep the Directorate Team informed at all times about the calendar commitments and deadlines for the completion of work; ensuring they have all necessary paperwork
(electronically or printed) needed before meetings and are fully briefed and prepared; preparing agendas and minuting meetings and following up resultant actions as required.
- Attend a variety of meetings as required by the Directorate Team ensuring accurate minutes and actions are recorded and disseminated within set timescales. To be responsible for the development of organisational and administrative procedures to ensure the smooth and effective running of the Directorate office.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Directorate Team, undertaking a range of complex administrative tasks, assisting in the completion and production of detailed reports including the compilation and analysis of statistical information.
- Provide a confidential secretarial service to the Directorate Team drafting correspondence to the required specification consistently producing a high standard of written work.
- Liaising with staff, suppliers and clients as and when required, dealing with and resolving a range of complex issues on behalf of the Directorate Team.
- Providing a comprehensive advisory, and administrative service to support governance and compliance for schools and the Trust Board. Completing administrative tasks for meetings including the preparation of papers, agendas and minutes.
- To act as clerk to the Trust Board and LGB as required, working effectively with Chairs,
Headteachers and other Governors on identified tasks and ensuring all appropriate follow up action has been taken adhering to confidentiality at all times.
- To support the directorate team in the provision of advice on risk and compliance working within the broad current legislative framework.
- To contribute to the development of systems and internal audit procedures for monitoring compliance and make recommendations for appropriate action.
- Perform a variety of research activities for the Directorate Team updating and preparing complex reports including statistical data to inform management decisions.
- Maintaining records of Governor/ Trustee pecuniary interests, attendance, CPD, induction and general duties associated with governance.
- Assist in the management of the policy schedule providing regular updates to key stakeholders; supporting the development of policies, ensuring key stakeholders are advised of changes to policy and supporting in the development of strategies to monitor policy implementation.
- To be responsible for contributing to the creation of content and updating the schools’ and Trust website, keeping up to date with relevant legislation to ensure that the website’s remain compliant and up to date.
- Assist with monitoring and analysis of the Trust’s social media presence ensuring it remains up to date and engaging; supporting the social media strategy in drafting and uploading news stories and posts to all social media platforms and the website.
