We are excited to share a permanent job opening for a **Electrical Maintenance Technician** at our client's site, a prestigious manufacturing company based in Cwmbran.

**Contract: Permanent**

**Salary: £28700 days regular shift**

**Salary: £34400 days and afternoons shift rotation**

**Shifts: Mon-Fri**

We are looking for an **Electrical Maintenance Technician** with primary responsibility to carry out required routine maintenance, repairs and services to maintain production machinery availability, and ensure that best practice and statutorycompliance is adhered to and maintained.

**Key responsibilities**
- Analysis and repairs to machinery, to ensure minimum loss regarding production output.
- Carry out dynamic risk assessments of tasks prior to carrying out work. To determine a suitable method to carry out the tasks, taking into account any potential hazards identified and ways to minimise the risk, with guidance if necessary from Senior MaintenanceTechnician.
- Carry out lower level TPM, PPM & repair tasks.
- Assist with inspection, installation, service & repair.
- Diagnostic & analysis, use of relative test equipment to enable correct running, checking and adjustment of machine tool equipment at the level specified.
- Work with all departments to enable the maintenance and upkeep of machine tools, plant and equipment throughout the business.

**Essential Criteria**
- Relevant ONC or BTech & NVQ certificate holder of Electrical discipline
- Basic knowledge for electrical disciplines, pneumatic & hydraulic systems
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings & manuals.
- Computer literate & familiar with computerised maintenance software reporting.
- Demonstrable multi-faceted manual dexterity tool skills in inspection, installation, service & repair.
- Ability to plan & execute minor repairs.
- HSE awareness
- Degree of mental and analytic skills required to perform the job, depending on the context (multiple sources of information : internal, external, moving, complex information):
**Desirable**
- Manual Machinery i.e. move machine axis, spindle/coolant start/stop, etc. chemical spillage response, use of fire extinguishers, MEWP Licence. Basic extraction, ventilation & filtration.
- Basic understanding of CNC & manual machine tools, CNC machine operation, Understanding of NC control systems.
