Oxford, United Kingdom Health Education England Full time

The South East Pharmacy Team is responsible for supporting the delivery of the HEE mandate by supporting pharmacy workforce transformation, innovation in education and training, and collaboration across health and care sectors in the region.

As a Training Programme Facilitator you will provide professional expertise to the Foundation Pharmacist Training Programme and oversee the delivery of a portfolio of projects and programmes across the region

The role requires excellent organisational, leadership and management skills alongside the ability to lead matrix working initiatives.

You should have a passion for education, a sound understanding of the different sectors of pharmacy, with experience of working as part of a multi-professional team and a track record of delivering projects to deadlines.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced practitioner wishing to expand their portfolio and gain experience of working at a regional level with involvement in national initiatives.

Specifically, the role will involve
- Supporting the design and implementation of the Foundation Pharmacist training programme across Pharmacy sectors in the South East of England
- Supporting the business planning processes of the HEE South East Pharmacy team to provide input into the strategic development of regional workforce, education and training priorities.
- Identifying and supporting trainees requiring additional support.
- Contributing to the development of high-quality training environments and placements, aligned to the HEE Quality Framework.
- Providing professional expertise on a specific portfolio of work.
- Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders including trainees, supervisors, educational, service and system leads.
- Acting as an enabler for pharmacy workforce transformation, working collaboratively with stakeholders at an Integrated Care System (ICS) level, to develop a workforce with the necessary skills required to deliver new, integrated models of care.
- Support equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives in pharmacy education.
- Having an understanding and awareness of how the activities and objectives of the department align with the wider business planning for HEE, in particular to HEE South East and a designated area.

The role offers an excellent opportunity to be part of a forward thinking team that has a strong focus on innovation and delivery across the South East.

You will be part of a team who really make a difference to the education and training of pharmacy professionals, improving the care received by patients and the public across the South East of England.

When you join, you’ll receive an induction and have the opportunity to attend a variety of skills-related courses, some on-line.

This is a hybrid role, working flexibly from home alongside being based in one of our HEE South East office locations, Southern House in Winchester, or Chancellor Court in Oxford. The postholder will be expected on occasion to travel across the South East, as well as to other parts of England as required.

You can find further details about the job, organisational structure, recruitment profile, expected outcomes and benefits information in the attached Job Description and other supporting documents.
