We have an exciting opportunity for a Coproduction Officer to join our established and friendly Policy and Practice team

Your role will be a homebased position meaning you can work flexibly from home with access to an office hub when you need it. You will work part time, 28 hours per week (flexible between Mon-Fri however working on Friday would be desirable) on a permanent contract with a pro rata salary of £19,432.27 to £21,703.54pa or £22,078.37 to £24,349.64pa inclusive of London Weighting. The Community Mental Health Unit at Rethink has a range of colleagues with different expertise needed to be the voluntary sector partner for system transformation. Experience of joined up treatment and support that meets the needs of people severely affected by mental illness is a key objective for us across our organisation.
Co-production is at the heart of our work, and we have a growing Co-production and Involvement practice that works closely with colleagues in the Unit (eg community engagement, community alliances, equalities, NHS collaboration). We take a place-based approach where each area we work in has a matrix programme team.
What you will be doing?
This role is to support the Co-production Manager’s work in facilitating and delivering the co-production objectives within the programme plan for Somerset. You will enjoy organising activities and compiling information and suggesting ways of working more effectively. You will also feel confident in supporting Experts by Experience in their involvement in the mental health transformation and be able to do so independently where needed. There is plenty of opportunity to develop your skills and get involved with activities such as presenting information and evaluation.
**Key responsibilities of the role**:
Support the work of the Co-production Manager through keeping track of programme activities to deliver the co-production plan on time and within budget and evaluating the co-production programme.
Support presenting information for lived experience consideration and recommendations about transformation focus topics and ensure these are heard and valued by system partners so they can influence positive change.
Support the facilitation of an online and face to face consideration spaces/meetings, including set-up, invitations, co-creating agendas, note taking.
Support developing and maintaining processes and information flow/recording about the programme, including liaising with Rethink colleagues, and people in partner organisations.
Support with Community Engagement and Community Listening activities as needed.
Champion the value of lived experience in co-design, co-implementation and co-evaluation.
Champion equality and inclusion throughout the work of the programme.

Have ability propose ways of working more effectively.
Have ability to work in an inclusive way, championing equality and diversity.
Be able to travel to Somerset when necessary to attend occasional meetings or events.
**You may also have**:
Understanding of citizen participation approaches, and equalities and diversity.
Understanding of the health and social care system and service provision for people affected by mental illness.
