**Location**:Remote, at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and at Kao Park, Harlow (hybrid working) split to be discussed

**Hours**:37.5 hours a week, Monday
- Friday 9am-5pm

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS trust plays a huge part in west Essex and east and north Hertfordshire's way of life.

The trust runs a busy hospital, The Princess Alexandra Hospital and provides services at St. Margaret's Hospital and Herts and Essex Hospital. Together serve a population of around 350,000 people.

**What you’ll be responsible for**:

- Assist the head of communications and team to implement our communications strategy
- Assist the head of communications and team to develop, implement and evaluate communications and media relations strategies and projects to support our corporate objectives
- Develop content for our digital information screens; Extranet and website and engage with our people in different departments to collect information
- Develop innovative ways of engaging with our people and communicating our key messages and objectives
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and audiences

**You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust**:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:

- Excellent communication skills
- both written and verbal
- Excellent organisation skills
- Previous NHS experience (desirable)
- NHS System Knowledge
- Previous experience in communications
- NHS Communications experience (desirable)
- Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva (desirable)
- This role may require you to show evidence of education to Degree level or at least 2 years relevant experience._
