As a Community Engagement Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing and enhancing the Education, Communications, and Outreach (ECO) initiatives for our municipal contracts.
You will work closely with the Area Communications Manager and team members to design and implement community engagement projects aimed at influencing resident behaviors and boosting recycling rates.
Your duties will include managing budgets, adhering to timelines, and ensuring the quality of these initiatives.Additionally, you will act as the main point of contact for clients and the site management team, supervising the daily outputs of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop positive news stories
- Collaborate with regional communications colleagues to fulfill regional and contract objectives
- Stay updated on industry trends
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients and colleagues across the municipal region.
You will also oversee the activities of the contract ECO officer, focusing on community engagement and project delivery. If you excel in community interaction and project management, this role is tailored for you.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in implementing techniques and analyzing outcomes for behavior change and community engagement.
- Knowledge of public relations, social media, social advertising, and digital communications.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in creating presentations and press releases.
- Experience with Canva software for creating engaging visual content.
- Familiarity with or experience working with local authorities is a plus.
- Degree-level education or equivalent in a relevant field, or significant related experience.
- Full, clean UK driving license.
