This dynamic team manages a number of commissioned contracts and supports the principles within the Care Act 2014 through the management of two operational services, Direct Payment Service and Support Brokerage Service to; support individuals, Adult Social Care Managers and other Health professionals to identify suitable provisions and services within the county that offer value for money and meet the assessed individual needs.

**About us**:
Buckinghamshire was one of the first 8 areas in England to establish an Integrated Care System. Introduced in 2017, Integrated Care Systems involve NHS organisations working in partnership with Local Authorities and other organisations to take collective responsibility for managing resources, delivering NHS standards, and improving the health and wellbeing of local residents.

In the summer of 2018 Buckinghamshire County Council and the Buckinghamshire Clinical Commissioning Group restructured their commissioning functions to set up a new, all age Integrated Commissioning Service, supporting the Integrated Care System’s ethos to deliver whole population outcomes by aligning strategic commissioning activities across health, public heath, and social care.

There are 8 commissioning teams within the Service. Each team is led by a Specialist Commissioning Manager and works across the whole commissioning cycle to support service improvement, value for money and improved resident and service user outcomes.

**About the role**:
Your day-to-day role will involve supporting Commissioning Managers to commission a range of services including carers support services, children’s and adult’s advocacy, direct payment support infrastructure and Healthwatch. The role will also support the operation of the Direct Payments Support and Brokerage Services which directly supports Buckinghamshire residents choose and manage their own care.

This post is critical in supporting the safety and wellbeing of our residents as well as ensuring that the Council achieves good value for money from our commissioned services.

**About you**:
You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, good attention to detail and the ability to analyse information and data. You should have an enquiring mind and be confident asking challenging questions in order to get a detailed understanding of provider performance.

Previous experience of developing a quality framework for a service or service users to monitor impact, outcomes and value for money is essential.
