Description
Rotherwood Teachers are currently recruiting for a HR Administrator to work with one of our most well established clients based in Blackburn.
This is a permanent, full time role starting as soon as possible.
The job purpose is to assist the Head of HR/Operations by undertaking the HR administration for the school and supporting the wider operational needs of the School.
**Job duties**
- Maintain the Schools’ Single Central Record.
- First point of contact for HR enquiries.
- Manage the HR and Absences mailboxes.
- To administer the new starter and leaver processes.
- To prepare all letters and contracts for new starters, including contractual changes for existing employees
- To provide administrative support to line managers in relation to HR processes.
- To support the Head of HR/Operations in developing appropriate management information systems.
- To provide accurate data inputting in relation to absences, holiday leave, maternity, paternity etc, using the Schools management system (SIMS).
- To provide and maintain electronic filing and paper-based filing records for employees.
- To support the development of the digital platform and move to paper free records.
- To manage the Schools e-learning training database
- To input training data into the Schools management system and maintain paper based training records for all employees.
- To assist and undertake a proactive role in all HR related policies including, but not limited to, disciplinary, capability and attendance management issues.
- Support the Head of HR/Operations with employee relation matters.
- Note take for the Head of HR/Operations in meetings as required.
- To produce and update job descriptions/person specifications with the appropriate line manager.
- Schedule and organise interview/assessment days.
- Ensure all pre-employment checks are undertaken in accordance with the Keeping Children Safe in Education guidelines.
- Maintain the filing of all employee records.
- Ensure all the relevant checks are in place for approved contractors and visitors in accordance with the Keeping Children Safe in Education guidelines.
- To ensure that all colleagues and approved contractors/visitors are uploaded to our fire registration system.
- Assist with ensuring employment related documentation is processed in-line with requirements.
- To ensure staff contracts are produced and issued in a timely manner.
- Manage the induction for new colleagues and produce and organise their induction schedules.
**The successful HR Administrator will**:
- Have previous experience in an administrative role.
- Be confident with Microsoft office.
- Provide details of last 2 latest references, covering the last 5 years’ work history.
- Be committed to the safeguarding of children and young people.
Be willing to complete a face-to-face registration and satisfy several checks.
