**Accounts Assistant**
**Your role as an Accounts Assistant**
As an experienced Accounts Assistant, you will be expected to provide an excellent service for all our suppliers & customers ,ensuring that payments are received from all parties on a timely basis, processing incoming funds, reconciling invoices, resolving account queries and managing debt recovery as well as carrying out regular month end tasks
**Key responsibilities**:
- Checking and posting of receipts to accounting system.
- Following up payments as needed.
- Following up on debts as needed
- Dealing with customer queries
- Ensure all issues are resolved by month end deadlines
- Responding to relevant customer enquiries.
- Prepare & send monthly statements
- Produce Weekly Aged Debtor & Creditors Reports
- Accurately setting up new Customers on the Sales Ledger
- Other ad-hoc accounting tasks and projects as required.
**You will have the following skills and experience**:
- Proven experience within a busy Accounts departments
- An understanding of both Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger processes.
- Well-developed time management skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines, whilst multitasking.
- Experience of Sage200 will be an advantage but you will be trained on the system and our internal procedures.
- Good basic excel skills will be essential but can be trained
- Strong attention to detail
