Are you a highly experienced BABCP accredited Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) passionate about providing high quality evidence-based psychological therapy to people with common mental health problems? Are you interested in leading a highly motivated team of PWP’s? NHS Blackpool Talking Therapies are looking for a Senior PWP to join the team.

Provide case management supervision to PWPs and PWP trainees in the team.

Take a mentor role with trainee or inexperienced PWPs.

Be involved in the training and development of PWP trainees.

Provide assessment and Low intensity interventions e.g., psycho-educational interventions, Guided Self Help, drawing from CBT theories and techniques.

To obtain (if appropriate) and maintain up to date valid BABCP PWP registration throughout employment.

Offer training to Primary Care staff in CBT based interventions, and raise awareness of CBT interventions offered by PWPs.

Attend locally organised and national training appropriate to the work role.

Make a significant contribution towards training and educational developments of the step 2 workforce.

Undertake appropriate case management and clinical supervision on a regular basis in accordance with the relevant professional guidelines and policies.

Maintain appropriate clinical records in keeping with service operational policy.

Conduct risk assessments, prepare risk management plans and initiate appropriate action where indicated.

With the support of the Team manager, provide line management for PWPs and PWP trainees.

Ensure that line managed staff maintain appropriate clinical records and outcome data in keeping with service operational policy.

Ensure that line managed staff participate in activities of continuing professional development in line with agreed individual objectives (CPD) on an annual basis.

Participate in audits of clinical activity and evaluative research as required.

Co-ordinate and liaise between different staff groups including the Primary Intermediate Mental Health Team, the high and low intensity Talking Therapies staff, other Psychological Therapies staff, and additional linked in staff such as the LTC Services and Social Inclusion staff. Liaise with secondary mental health services (LCFT) and social services.

Input into the implementation, management and facilitation of various pathway changes required dependent on service need around KPIs. For example online CBT, group delivery and facilitation, LTC, and service promotion work
