The post will be the professional lead for Practice Educators who provide pre and post education. They will be responsible for reviewing and leading clinical education, ensuring good safe effective clinical education and compliance with mandatory and statutory training is in place across the Trust. The post holder will create a culture of continuous learning, ensuring education aligns with organisational and national priorities and makes a real difference to patient care.

Actively engage with external agencies to inform and influence LWH clinical education strategy and plan

Working closely with Heads of Departments and the Assistant Deputy Director of Nursing and Midwifery to develop and manage the Trust wide Clinical Education Delivery plan

Support Departments in the creation and management of department learning and development plans to meet the development needs of Trust strategy, divisional plans, department and individual requirements

Lead of the Trust wide clinical education delivery plan

Support the Head of Education, Learning and Development in the management and maximisation of physical and financial training resources, ensuring fair and equitable allocation

Assist Practice Educators to identify and utilise learning opportunities and provide support in the education and development process across the Trust

Provide quality guidance, standards and frameworks in the design, delivery and evaluation of clinical learning interventions

Support Practice Educators in the coordination, development and oversee commissioning of courses and training for clinical areas in line with identified development needs and core values, skills and relevant competencies framework as required

Ensure that all training/educational activities have outcome measures which are measured through evaluation feedback

Respond to complaints and quality issues by ensuring robust educational and development programmes and evaluating the outcomes of these
