Are you looking to develop your career in Assessment Services? Here is an exciting opportunity for you to work as Best Interest Assessor (BIA) in Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DOLS) Assessor Services.

The pay rate would be £34 per hour depending on your location and this may be negotiable.

**Responsibilities of the role**:

- To undertake needs-led assessments using core social work, OT and nursing skills and knowledge. Ensuring that these duties are carried out in accordance with departmental policies, resources, procedures including Fair Access to Care Services.
- To manage a complex and diverse caseload, including Safeguarding Adults and issues of risk and mental capacity, within the parameters of agreed policies and practices together with the professional support and guidance from the MCA/DOLS Lead. This willinvolve the management of sensitive, emotional and contentious issues and decisions with clients, relatives and carers.
- To participate in the Social Work Emergency duty rota when required.
- To undertake comprehensive DOLS assessments.

**Reed are now offering a joining bonus of up to£250 for Qualified Social Workers. Terms apply.**

**Requirements of the role**:

- Registered with Social Work England
- Qualification of Best Interest Assessor under DOLS Professional Accreditation (Ready to Practice)
- Sound knowledge of MCA/DOLS legislation
