**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As a Recovery Worker, you will contribute to successfully rehabilitating and reintegrating our residents and participants back into the community. Providing pathways, support and appropriate interventions that will enable successful resettlements and work with internal and external partners and agencies to achieve desired outcomes.

Rota: Monday to Sunday 4 weekly, including weekends, bank holidays and occasional periods. Working times vary between 20:00 - 09:30.

**ABOUT THE SERVICE**

The aim of the service is to provide staged (High/Medium/Low) accommodation-based support to people referred by South London and Maudsley Trust (SLaM) that will allow them to address their complex support needs and prepare for independent living whilst also managing the risk individuals may pose to the community.

**OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Carry out welfare checks, and ensure the night service runs smoothly, reporting any concerns, incidents, and accidents in the correct manner to the right people/groups and being a proactive team worker in such cases.
- Recognise signs of deteriorating mental health and initiate appropriate interventions to prevent a crisis.
- Follow safeguarding protocols and make referrals where necessary.
- Support residents and participants to take medication, prompting and supervision where appropriate and make necessary records of this.
- Act as the primary recovery worker for a caseload of residents and participants (R&P), contributing to the development of support plans, risk assessments and reviews.
- Ensure our R&P’s understand their rights and responsibilities, to support them back into society and building networks.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external persons and agencies.
- Various administration duties, ensuring confidentiality.
- Maintain high standards of service provision in line with organisational values and requirements, ensuring a safe, effective, caring, and responsive service.
- Provide advice, information and guidance to residents and participants.

Other responsibilities than those described above may be required to be undertaken from time to time and will be expected to be performed to as long as it is within the capability and level of the position.
