You will join us as a Level 6 Supply Chain Apprentice. You will combine academic university studies with real life work-based experience over a 4 year program, leading to a BSc in Supply Chain Management from Sheffield Hallam University.

These roles can be based at our site in Widnes.

As a Supply Chain Apprentice with Alstom you will gain solid practical experience across a range of disciplines, including Warehouse operation, Production Planning and Material Procurement. At the heart of the business, you will be in contact with a wide range of people including suppliers, customers and internal departments and will be a key part in maintaining service levels whilst improving efficiencies and balancing costs.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Participate in Company Initiatives, in particular to be engaged in Continuous Improvement activity targeted at all aspects of Alstom performance
- Support the development of a UK wide Logistics Strategy that supports our UK wide project delivery
- Designing stores layout
- Reviewing our business processes and practices
- Operate at an appropriate level carrying out designated tasks within the team assigned

A significant amount of training will be provided by the company as part of the supply chain team.

**Our Requirements**:

- 3 A Levels or equivalent at Grades A-C
- 5 (or more) GCSEs at grade 5-9 (A*-C), including Maths, English and Science.

Ideally, you will also be logical and an innovative thinker, who is proactive and an enthusiastic self-starter.
