An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Stroke Rehabilitation Assistant to join the Acute Stroke Team service at Ipswich Hospital.

You should have an interest in Stroke care and want to support the specialist emergency response team for TIA, hyper-acute and acute stroke patients within the stroke unit.

You will be a key member of the stroke nursing team ensuring high quality stroke care is delivered. You will be part of a multi professional team who provide 24/7 hyper acute stroke care.

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in caring for stroke patients and will complete stroke related competencies to ensure that patients receive high standards of care.

**You should have**:
A background in health care/ Health Care Assistant

Excellent communication & team work skills

The desire to develop your stroke clinical skills and knowledge

Be committed to your professional development

To contribute to the rehabilitation needs of identified stroke patients under the direction of the multidisciplinary team in the Stroke Unit

To follow individual patient treatment plans, identified in the Integrated Care Pathway, aiming to achieve rehabilitation goals and maximum levels of independence

To contribute to the needs of patients identified within the Rapid Assessment Unit under the direction of the Ward Sister/Stroke Specialist Nurse
