We’re looking for a Strategic Communications Advisor to join the Group Internal Communications team, with responsibility for contributing to and leading global internal communications plans, projects, policies and campaigns that directly support HSBC’s strategy, purpose and transformation agenda. The role holder will work closely with our Chief Data Officer and will lead strategic employee communications around HSBC’s data strategy and agenda across the bank.

In this role, you will:

- Develop creative and compelling content, campaigns, and innovative communications to reach a large and diverse audience.
- Be responsible for strategic bank-wide communications supporting HSBC’s data strategy, including data quality, data literacy and skills, data-led insight and customer propositions, and data protection.
- Consistently identify opportunities to incorporate strategic data messages into global communications campaigns and topics, and to deepen collaboration between The Data and Architecture Office and Global Communications.
- Act as Communications advisor to the Group Chief Data and Analytics Officer and relevant members of their leadership team.
- Collaborate with external communications teams to support the communication of HSBC’s data and digital strategy to external audiences.
- Support data-related organisational change and business transformation through strategic communications planning and implementation.
- Support the development and implementation of internal communications plans and activities supporting HSBC’s global purpose, strategy and business priorities.
Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

- Ability to understand business issues and devise communication solutions that deliver results, constructing fresh approaches where appropriate and making connections to other issues.
- Able to work within an ambiguous environment, prioritise and reconcile competing demands and resolve complex issues.
- A proven track record in developing, managing and implementing employee communication strategies and plans, translating into solid and practical delivery programmes.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to work confidently and effectively with senior executives across regional/global geographies.
- A strong team player who can work collaboratively with peers and encourage / deliver excellent performance from teams and individuals.
- Ability to work quickly, managing time and multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal, strategic planning and project management skills.

The base location for this role is London/Hybrid.with an expectation to be in the office a minimum of 2 days per week
