**Job overview**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-established Urology nursing team based at **Salford Care organisation **to lead on setting up a brand new ‘remote monitoring’ service, providing care and supporting ongoing management of patients who have been treated for prostate cancer across the Northern Care Alliance single service.

The post holder will be expected to develop their scope of professional practice to meet the needs of the service and be expected to take up the key worker role for patients who have completed their treatment and are suitable to be followed up remotely. You will be responsible for working with IT, financial, managerial, and clinical experts to develop a safe and effective PSA monitoring system incorporating stratified follow up guidelines, delivering personalised care and encouraging a culture of self-management.

You will have the opportunity to develop knowledge, understanding and clinical skills in the management of patients with urological cancers and there may be opportunities in the future for further role development. You will be expected to demonstrate sound leadership skills in leading and delivering a new service whilst fostering collaborative working relationships, leadership, consultation, and education.

**Main duties of the job**:

- 2 years Urology experience

**Knowledge and skills**:

- Minimum of 2 years Urology experience
- Post registration teaching and assessment experience
- Presentation and teaching experience
- Highly developed Communication skills
- Knowledge and understanding of personalised care, supported self-management, stratified follow up

**Desirable criteria**:

- Previous CNS experience
- Knowledge of prostate cancer pathways
- Research and audit and data analysis
- Evidence of team working
