Swiss Laundry is a highly successful, family-run laundry company that has a proud history going back well over 100 years. We are a key supplier to many prestigious hotels, academic establishments, holiday parks, and restaurants and are now looking for an AssistantProduction Manager to join our team, based in Papworth Everard, Cambridgeshire.
The Assistant Production Manager will provide a service of linen processing to our customer service team, using the most cost effective/efficient methods, consistent with legislation and to agreed quality standards. You will also ensure the machinery is operatedin a safe and efficient standard.
**Key responsibilities**:

- Control the operation of production to a high-quality standard, but to react to any change where necessary.
- Ensure machinery and staff operate in the most efficient manner possible
- Motivate where required all reporting line staff.
- Ensure all operations are carried out safely.
- Take control of specific areas or tasks as designated by the Factory Manager
- Participate in any projects as requested by the Factory Manager or Production Director
**Experience and knowledge**:

- Previous experience in similar environment is an advantage
- Can maintain standards under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and organisational skills
**Skills and Behaviours**:

- Ability to work to a high standard with an attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality and build relationships with people from a variety of backgrounds.
- A self-starter with high energy level. Proactive, dynamic, making things ‘happen’
- Excellent IT, verbal and written communication skills with colleagues and professional agencies
- Good time management skills, including the ability to prioritise and plan work to meet deadlines
On offer is a salary of up to £32,000 per annum. The role is a full-time position and will be 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday 1.00pm -10.00pm with the occasional Saturday. Benefits include 29 days’ holiday (inclusive of bank holidays), Bonus incentive,free car park on-site, and development opportunities within the business.
