What is the brains.app platform?

Brains.app platform is the foundation of the IntelliSense.io business. This is the cornerstone based on which all applications are built.

What are its key features?

The platform handles clients' data ingestions, and data pipelines, and presents the models running under the hood outputs in various formats. The platform has a vast set of dashboards, including a 3D visualization tool, notifications, alerts, and so on to provide the best-class service for the customers.

How is this platform beneficial to our customers?

Being a foundation, the platform enables seamless app integration and speeds up the deployment. When the app is implemented, the platform works as the main interface of the optimization applications and enriches the key solution with the baseline functionality.

The role:

IntelliSense.io is seeking a leader in Product Management to drive the definition, development, and adoption of IntelliSense.io brains.app platform and ensure its end-to-end success. Currently, 2.5 million tonnes of material is processed by brains.app platform everyday and it supports over 10,000 data points per minute per client, delivering millions of dollars in value to some of the largest Mining & Metals and Industrial companies in the world. Uniquely brains. app is the only platform in the world that can handle both spatial and time series data and be able to connect the entire metals value chain. With an aspiration to go downstream into metal recycling, steel, and cement industries, scalability of the brains.app platform would be a key driver. 

It's an exciting time to join IntelliSense.io in this role as brains.app has its dedicated technology team completely upgrading our technology, offering applicants a semi-blank page to shape the roadmap. This presents a rare opportunity to influence the development of a multi-million dollar software platform from the ground up.

What you will be responsible for

A Platform Product Manager is responsible for defining and delivering a product platform that serves as the foundation for the portfolio of Optimization as a Service Applications. The main focus of a brains.app Platform Product Manager is to create a scalable and reusable product infrastructure that can be leveraged by multiple products or teams.

Specific job responsibilities include:

  • Defining the platform vision and strategy: This involves working with internal stakeholders (engineering and data science technology directors, SME Product managers, etc..) to understand their needs and determine the direction for the platform.

  • Creating the product roadmap: The brains.app Platform Product Manager will create a roadmap for the platform, which outlines the features, functionalities, and timeline for delivering the platform to market.

  • Working with cross-functional teams: The Platform Product Manager will work closely with engineering, design, QA, and other teams to ensure the platform is developed and delivered to the required specifications.

  • Conducting market research: The brains.app Platform Product Manager will conduct market research to understand market needs and identify new opportunities for the platform. How can the brains.app become fully interoperable and agnostic with the metal value chain landscape. 

  • Defining product requirements: The brains.app Platform Product Manager will work with internal stakeholders (engineering and data science technology directors, SME Product managers, etc..) to define the product requirements, including functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Managing the product backlog: The brains.app Platform Product Manager will maintain the product backlog, which outlines the features and functionalities to be delivered in each release.

  • Measuring product performance: The brains.app Platform Product Manager will measure the performance of the platform and use this information to make improvements. A critical piece of knowledge required to support the Optimisation as a Service Application Suite.

  • Driving product adoption: The brains.app Platform Product Manager will work to drive the adoption of the platform by internal teams and external customers. The brains.app Platform Product Manager should be familiar with analytics and be able to define further analytics improvements.

What we value

The ideal candidate for a Platform Product Manager role should have strong technical, leadership, and communication skills, as well as experience in product management and working with cross-functional teams. Additionally, experience in platform development, B2B SaaS, and technology is highly desirable. To be successful in this senior role, you must demonstrate:

  • 5+ years of experience in product management within Enterprise SAAS / Cloud software companies ideally in the industrial space

  • Background in Computer Science, Engineering, Information systems, or other technical fields. 

  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven product decision-making mentality with strong communication skills, verbal and written. 

  • Ability to work proactively independently and make decisions under minimal supervision, as well as collaborate as part of a team.

  • Experience with distributed computing systems and/or cloud infrastructures (e.g. AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Flink) is a plus.

  • A sense of ownership and pride in personal performance and its impact on the overall company’s success.

  • The ideal candidate for This role would require full proficiency in English
