General Summary:

The Voice, Music and Wearables Business Unit is looking for an experienced Product Manager with a strong background in software engineering who wants to help us take advantage of the exciting market opportunities for wireless earbuds, headsets and portable audio products.

Our Bluetooth Audio SoC's are paired with rich software that enables the creation of fully customisable end products and integrates a number of cutting-edge technologies, such as advanced codecs, voice user interfaces and active noise cancellation. Our software spans device firmware, ROM software, SDKs (software development kits), example applications and includes system, user application and DSP software components.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the feature roadmap for several of our software products. They will work closely with lead customers, partners and the product marketing team to understand market requirements and key technology trends, and with engineering to scope, prioritise and develop new feature and IP development.

They will be responsible for:

  • Owning new SW features and releases from cradle to grave, from requirements definition and prioritisation to ensuring we have a successful product launch with lead customers
  • Driving engineering teams to timely and high-quality delivery, as part of a project triad including Programme Manager and Project Engineer
  • Supporting and working to improve Qualcomm's processes for the approval, development and delivery of products
  • Liaising with key customers and partners throughout the product lifecycle

Minimum Experience

Strong technical background in software engineering, ideally in a system-level role (e.g. technical architect or customer engineering)

Proven experience as a product manager, defining and prioritising requirements and producing business cases leading to successful products

Proven experience working with diverse, global teams, including programme management, marketing and engineering teams

Proven experience in customer facing roles

Preferred Experience

Experience working with audio and wireless technologies

Education Requirements

Bachelors degree in technical field related to the work electrical engineering, electronics, systems engineering, software engineering, or similar fields

Masters or Doctoral degree in technical field highly valued, as is MBA or equivalent business degree in addition to technical background

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.

• 2+ years of Product Management or related work experience.
