Hargrave Hall Community Centre is looking to appoint a facilities coordinator with the responsibility for the day to day operation of the centre. It is a pivotal role, ensuring a vibrant and well managed facility for the benefit of local residents and organisations.

The Centre is an self funded community facility managed by Hargrave Hall Community Association which is a registered charity.

The Centre is currently used by a number of local groups on a weekly or monthly basis and local residents on the weekends.

Facilities:

- Ensuring the community centre facilities are maintained in line with government regulars and health and safety standards.
- To liaise with caretaker on all general maintenance issues and report larger issues to Islington Council.
- Produce and send weekly caretaker rota.
- To manage the cleaners ensuring all areas are maintained, cleaned and supplies are well stocked.

Long Term User Groups (LTUG)
- First point of contact for all long-term users ensuring they are informed of centre activities and that they follow HHCA rules in line with their contracts.
- Production of monthly invoices
- Undertaking LTUG annual contract review (with the development manager)

In coordination with the Booking Coordinator
- Administer the bookings calendar ensuring it is kept up to date.
- Undertake potential clients site visits and answer queries.
- Administer (using QuickBooks) all invoices and recording payments of bills and invoices for all good and services provided by the Centre.
- Responding promptly and professionally to feedback, comments, and complaints.
- Any other duties as would be expected of a Centre Administrator.

The core skills for this role are people skills and we are looking for someone to really bring the centre to life. The person appointed is likely to have a good number of the following skills or experiences:

- Confident, self motivated, innovative and able to work under pressure
- Highly organised and self-reliant with administrative tasks and timekeeping
- Able to prioritise task and adapt to changing needs
- A professional attitude and approach with excellent written and verbal communication
- Knowledge of and interest in the local community

Initial 12 month contract with expectation to become permanent.

Hours:10 hours per week

Working two days per week - hours are flexible however will need to be between 9am to 6pm and once agreed these will be set.

Fully Office based. This role has no home based work option.
