We are looking for a first-rate reporter to join the Scotland-based general news reporting team at PA, the UK and Ireland's national news agency. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly-respected team with a reputation for quality, speed and accuracy that is second to none.

PA is the UK’s national news agency, supplying 24/7 journalism to every newsroom in the country.

**About the role**

As well as generating and developing original content, you will also be trained to produce high-quality video and you’ll use social media to source exclusive and breaking news stories

**What you’ll need**
- Reporting experience with a proven knowledge of the Scottish news landscape, including breaking news
- Flexibility and willingness to travel throughout Scotland to cover stories when required
- Reliable shorthand

**Do you have**
- A strong understanding of media law
- An NCTJ or equivalent qualification
- A full driving licence and ideally your own car
