About the Role:

PAPYRUS is seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead the development and implementation of our strategy in Scotland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that PAPYRUS is represented at local and regional Suicide Prevention groups and bodies across Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the EQUIP strategy in Scotland, developing and implementing plans to create and cultivate sustainable community services.
  • Represent PAPYRUS at local and regional Suicide Prevention groups and bodies, building relationships and partnerships to advance our mission.
  • Manage Service Delivery in Scotland, ensuring that our programs and services are effective and efficient.
  • Develop an operational plan to deliver the strategy, including budgeting and financial management.
  • Drive the effective performance of the Area through strong leadership, setting high expectations and providing guidance and support to staff.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of building, managing and enabling a successful team, with a track record of achieving results and delivering high-quality services.
  • Experience of identifying new approaches to underpin strategy, progressing new opportunities and translating these into sustainable, funded projects in the community.
  • Previous experience of preparing a budget, securing funding for projects/programs and having financial accountability for successful implementation.
  • Experience of managing complex projects with a positive impact on social change, with a strong understanding of the social care sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully building, developing and managing effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders in the community, voluntary, statutory and political settings.
  • Proven experience of effective working as part of a management group, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A bachelor's degree level or equivalent professional qualification in Leadership, Management, Health, Social Care, Social Sciences, Education, Business Development, Community Work, or Public Health.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £45,441 per annum (scale point 37), progressing incrementally to £49,498 per annum (scale point 41).
  • 36 hours per week, with flexible working arrangements.
  • A comprehensive benefits package, including 28 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays (pro rata for part time workers), an attractive pension scheme, Simply Health membership and enhanced sick pay.
