We are happy to announce we are hiring a talented and experienced individual to join our team as an Area Sales Manager for Scotland.


To succeed in this role, you will require to have an excellent knowledge of current sales market trends. You should be able to work independently, part of a team and possess excellent communication skills.


The successful candidate will be expected to develop and promote the sales of ARDEX products via a framework of Distributors, stockists, Contractors and end users by providing local technical sales support to Contractors, Distributors and Specifiers. You will need to exhibit a proven track record in trade sales. Preferably, with sales experience within the construction trade.


Responsibilities

  • Achieve annual area sales targets as agreed in our annual business plan
  • Achieve individual area goals and targets as agreed in your annual business plan
  • Perform monthly customer reviews of sales and activity with your manager
  • Actively engage in prospecting for new customers and stockists for ARDEX products
  • Actively engage in developing current and new flooring contractors, ensure they are fully aware of the ARDEX product offer and the total support that ARDEX offer
  • In line with sales and performance, monitor costs and expenses and take action where necessary
  • Providing information electronically using Email and Microsoft Office
  • Provide contact information to the Customer Service Department Team to extend and update the company contact reference database
  • Provide weekly Market Intelligence reports based on commentary and feedback in sales area.
  • Achieve all targets, goals and objectives, as established with the Head of Flooring, for the defined Sales area
  • Promote the use of ARDEX products with Flooring Contractors, Retail and Contract Flooring stockists and any other possible end user of ARDEX high performance building materials
  • Establish and maintain a local area distributor network that will ensure ARDEX products are stocked and locally availability
  • Report on developments within the Sales Area on a weekly basis together with any information, which may be of interest to the Company, including competition activity, price increases, staff movement, etc.

Maintain relationship with complementary manufacturers and other companies which could benefit sales:

  • Trade Exhibitions and Events
  • ARDEX Product Demonstration Days


Specifiers

Maintain relationships with Specifiers and other companies which generate ARDEX product specifications:

  • Joint Exhibitions
  • Site Visits/Technical support to end users
  • ARDEX Product Demonstration Days


Distributors

Maintain relationship with Distributors and other Wholesalers which could benefit sales within all the markets that ARDEX UK operates. These mainly being Contract Flooring, Domestic Flooring

Activities may include:

  • Trade Exhibitions and Events
  • ARDEX Product Promotions
  • Internal and External Demonstration Days


Contractors

Implement, maintain and develop relationship with Contractors, Installers and other end users who could benefit sales within all of the trade markets that ARDEX UK operates. These mainly being Contract Flooring, Domestic Flooring.

Activities may include:

  • ARDEX Product Training
  • Local Project and Site Support
  • ARDEX Product Promotions
  • ARDEX Internal and External Demonstration Days


Qualifications

  • Good general levels of education and qualifications in line with the job function
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Preferred)
